MAREE STREET
Welcome to our Maree Street Hostel, located in the established suburb of Kempenville, Bellville, in the heart of Cape Town's Northern Suburbs. Home to 53 students, our residence is spread across four unique houses – Joy, Love, Fun and Dreams, creating a welcoming and close-knit student community. We offer a range of thoughtfully furnished accommodation options, including private suites, single rooms, and shared rooms, with separate accommodation for male and female students.
The surrounding neighbourhood is diverse and conveniently located close to shops, public transport, and everyday amenities. Ensuring a safe and secure environment is our top priority. Our dedicated hostel manager Lidia Botha oversees the hostel round-the-clock, supported by a diligent team of cleaners and a vigilant night guard. As with most urban areas, we encourage students to remain security conscious and avoid walking alone after dark. To enhance your peace of mind, we have implemented advanced security measures, including a state-of-the-art security system, electric fencing, and a comprehensive fire detection system.
We take pride in providing all the essential furniture to guarantee a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Additionally, we offer convenient amenities such as a bus shuttle service for hassle-free transportation to the Eduvos and Stadio campuses and a laundry facility to take care of your laundry needs. Our battery backup system will also keep the lights on during load shedding and our fast fibre internet will keep you connected. Come and experience the warmth and convenience of our Maree Street hostel. We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant community in Cape Town.
LOCATION
Centrally Located in Bellville
Our Maree Street residence is located in Kempenville, Bellville, in the heart of Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs. Its central location makes it particularly convenient for students studying at Eduvos, NewBridge, Stellenbosch University’s Tygerberg Medical Campus, as well as students completing their training at Netcare and Mediclinic facilities in the area.
Northlink College’s Bellville Campus is within walking distance, making Maree Street an excellent option for students studying there. We can also accommodate private students attending CPUT and UWC, although students should note that Study & Stay is not NSFAS-accredited and therefore cannot accept NSFAS-funded accommodation bookings.
STADIO’s Phesantekraal campus is slightly further away, but Study & Stay provides a dedicated shuttle service between the residence and campus, making Maree Street a practical option for STADIO students too.
Kempenville itself is a diverse, established Bellville neighbourhood with convenient access to shops, shopping centres, restaurants, public transport and other everyday amenities. Combined with our transport options and the residence’s central location, Maree Street provides a convenient base for students studying across the greater Bellville and Tygerberg area.
